"Kadambam" is a tamil word, meaning "combo" - a mix of all ingredients . This chuntey is made by mixing tomato,onion,garlic,ginger,tamarind,coconut,corriander that are usually used for making chutney . It taste well with dosai or idly.

INGREDIENTS:
Tomato- 1 no.
Onion- 1/2(If you are using indian onion, use 1 big no.)
Corriander leaves- 1 cup(chopped finely)
Tamarind - 1 gooseberry sized
Coconut powder - 2 table spoon
Fresh red chilli - 2
Dry red chilli- 1
Ginger - 1 inch sized(Diced finely)
Garlic- 4-5 cloves
Gram dal(Kadalai paruppu)- 1 tablespoon
Urad dal- 1 tablespoon
Salt - As required
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Oil- 3 tablespoon
SEASONING:
Oil- 2 teaspoon
Mustard- 1 teaspoon
Urad dal-1 teaspoon
Asafoetida powder - as required
METHOD:
1. Soak coconut powder in cold water for about 15 minutes. I have used desiccated coconut powder. Hence I soak it , in order to get a fresh flavor. I would suggest you to use fresh coconut for better taste. Cut tomato, onion,corriander finely. Prepare all ingredients and set ready.

METHOD:
1. Soak coconut powder in cold water for about 15 minutes. I have used desiccated coconut powder. Hence I soak it , in order to get a fresh flavor. I would suggest you to use fresh coconut for better taste. Cut tomato, onion,corriander finely. Prepare all ingredients and set ready.
2. Take a pan. Add oil. Once heated, add gram dal, urad daal and fry for 2 minutes.
3. Add tamarind, Fresh red chilli,dry red chilli.
4. Add ginger,garlic and fry till the daals, garlic turns golden brown.
5. Now add onion and fry for 3 to 4 minutes, till the onion colour changes.
6. Add required salt.
7. Add diced tomatoes now and mix well.
8. Add turmeric powder and mix well. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, until tomatoes gets soft.
9. Now add fresh corriander leaves .Give a gentle stir and turn off the gas. No need to cook corriander leaves.
10. Allow the ingredients to cool down and grind them in to a smooth paste. For seasoning, in another pan, add some oil, and once heated, add mustard. Once it crackles, add urad daal and asafoetida powder. Pour it over the chutney. Combo chutney is ready !.
11. Serve with dosai !.
