Apple Halwa

This is an easy dessert that can be made in few minutes of time. It requires minimal ingredients and taste delicious.


Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Cooking Time : 10 minutes
Serves: 1

INGREDIENTS:

Apple - 2 nos
Sugar - 1/8 th cup
Ghee -2 tablespoon
Saffron strands - a few
Elachi/cardamom powder - a pinch
Cashews - 4 to 5 no.s

METHOD:

1. Remove the skin of the apple and cut them in to small pieces. Then grind them in to a smooth paste by adding very less water.


2. In a pan, add 2 table spoon of ghee and roast cashews till they turn golden brown.


3. Keep the cashews aside. Now in the ghee, add the apple paste.


4. Keep stirring continuously. The mixture thickens and start leaving sides.


5. Now add sugar. Add saffron strands and cardamom powder and mix well , till the sugar dissolves completely. Apple halwa is ready ! Refrigerate it after it cools down for better taste.

NOTE:

 This recipe can also be made by grating apple after removing the skin. Add the grated apple in the ghee and keep stirring continuously till they turn soft and the mixture thickens.
