Masala Pasta

Masala pasta made with mix of Indian and Italian spices , cooked with pasta.  Tasty recipe to pack for kids lunch box for school.


Preparation Time : Under 30 minutes
Serves : 2-3 people

INGREDIENTS:

Pasta - 2.5 cups
Carrot - 1/4 cup
Babycorn - 4-5 no.s
Capsicum - 1 no.
Onion - 1/2 cup chopped
Tomato - 2 no.s
Ginger - 1 inch sized
Garlic - 2 to 3 pods
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam msala - 1/2 teaspoon
Tomato sauce- 2 table spoon
Italaian seasoning - 1/2 teaspoon
Dry basil leaves - 1/2 teaspoon
Butter - 2 tablespoon

METHOD:

1. In a large vessel, boil pasta and cook for 11 minutes and filter the water out . Immediately, wash with cold water, so that the pasta dont stick to each other.


2. Puree tomato in to a smooth paste.


 3. In a pan, add some some butter. Once it melts, add ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute.


4. Now add chopped onions and fry til they turn translucent. Now take the chopped veggies. In a pressure cooker, add 2 tablespoon of water and layer the vegetables above it. Cook in high for 2 whistles and switch off. The vegetables are cooked well.


5. Now, once the onions turns golden,add tomato puree and fry till the mixture thickens. Now  add salt, turmeric powder, kashmiri chilli powder ,garam masala , Italian seasoning and basil leaves. Fry for some more time, till the raw smell of spices are gone.



 6. Now add cooked pasta and mix well. Masala pasta is ready !.
